| In 1998, The Windsor celebrated its 115th year of service and is a treasured Melbourne landmark. Listed by the National Trust of Australia for its traditional Victorian architecture, The Windsor has been faithfully restored by Oberoi Hotels, and today, evokes the elegance and grandeur of a glorious past. More recently, a multi-million dollar refurbishment of the hotel was undertaken by Richmond Design International in 1995. DINING: The Windsor's signature restaurant is a careful marriage of the original European design of the hotel and the art deco ceilings and columns that were later added. The atmosphere is that of a grand colonial dining room. The Cricketer's Bar, famous for its cricket memorabilia, is popular for a casual drink.
